The band plays an eclectic mix of jazz influenced by the works of such musicians as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver and the Revivalist bands of the ‘40s. There is a strong New Orleans influence in some of the music played by this band, but more modern numbers and ‘party jazz’ are important parts of the repertoire.

They sound like lots at an auction, But that’s not the case at all. They are in fact a fine jazzband, With members both small and quite tall. They play splendid ‘HOT’ jazz, In the traditional way. I’ve seen and heard ‘em – I know we’ll have a good day! One thing worries me, however, And it’s an actual fact. This band could be accused of Breaking the Trades Description Act. In the actual, true sense Of the ‘antique’ word. It means an item is 100 But that’s absolutely absurd. One or two of them could be. But all of them? NO. But whatever their ages – they’re here, waiting to GO-MAN-GO!
